Training for Healthcare Professionals

The AHA BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and others who need to know how to perform CPR and basic cardiovascular life support in both clinical and prehospital settings.
In this hands-on course, you’ll learn how to:

Quickly recognize life-threatening emergencies

Provide high-quality chest compressions

Deliver effective ventilations

Use an AED early and appropriately
Because we value high-quality, effective training, this course is offered in-person only. To complete certification, participants must pass both a skills assessment and a written exam.
Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a new AHA BLS Provider eCard, valid for two years. We also offer convenient BLS Renewal courses for those who need to update their certification.
*An official AHA BLS Provider eCard is issued electronically the next business day. Please verify with your employer that this certification is accepted.
Course Length: 3 hours (renewal: 2 hours)
Maximum number of students: 9
Course location: Varies; can perform in-home group sessions and/or sessions at your place of business (contact to inquire)
This course is approved by the AHA and is taught by an AHA-certified instructor.

Hi, I’m Lisa — founder of PowerPulse Training LLC and the primary instructor (with the hope to expand in the future). I have been a McHenry County resident my whole life, where I live with my spouse and children. I take pride in offering value and resources to my community. I work locally as a Physician Assistant and have over 10 years of healthcare experience across a variety of settings, including pediatric and geriatric medicine. Aside from holding two Master's degrees, I am in the final semester of earning my doctorate degree in medical sciences, with an emphasis on healthcare policy and education. I’ve assisted in countless emergencies and resuscitations, and I know how powerful it is when someone steps in with the right skills at the right time.
I started PowerPulse Training LLC to empower everyday heroes to save lives. While I provide certifications for healthcare providers and workplaces, my biggest passion is teaching parents, caregivers, and community members how to confidently respond in an emergency.
Fully licensed by the American Heart Association, insured, and mobile, I bring high-quality, stress-free CPR, AED, and BLS training right to you. My goal is simple: to give you the confidence to act when every second matters.

We offer courses for healthcare professionals, workplace employees, teachers, students, parents, caregivers, babysitters, and community members. Whether you’re looking for professional certification or just want to learn life-saving skills, there’s a course for you.
3 / Do I need prior medical experience to take a course?
No! In fact, that is part of what makes PowerPulse Training LLC so unique. We take pride in offering community courses that are laid back and easy to understand.
4 / Do you come to my location and can you offer custom courses?
Yes! We are fully mobile and can come to your workplace, community center, or home. Message us with details of what you are looking for.
5 / What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the course start time are non-refundable. We recommend contacting us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule.
6 / Are your courses in-person or online?
We believe in a high-quality education. Therefore, all of our courses are offered in-person only.
7 / What are your cleaning protocols?
We follow strict hygiene protocols: all mannequins and equipment are sanitized before and after each session, and we adhere to CDC and local safety guidelines.
8 / Who teaches the courses?
Right now, the owner, Lisa Fasone, is the sole instructor for the business. We hope to bring on additional experienced instructors soon.
